So it's been a bit hectic since i last wrote in my blog and lots of things have been happening in my life. A lot of stressful things but you get on with it because most times, you don't get much choice!
I recently finished the only book I've managed to fully read in a while which was P.S I Love You by Cecelia Ahern. Most people will know the film was just released but I haven't seen it as i haven't had the time. It's a great book about losing someone you love and them being able to help you live your life again, some ups and downs on the way but that's what generally life is. I've only ever lost one close friend to me and she was more of an inspiration than i realised.
Nicole Robinson died on August 18th 2006. She was struck by a car as she was crossing the A1 motorway in the early hours of the morning walking home. She has become an inspiration to the way i look on life when I'm down. She had only just beaten anorexia a few weeks before she died and didn't fully get to live her life but the years she did have were jam packed! She loved going out to the scene in Newcastle and loved her friends greatly, my memories are also with my best friend Rachel, with us drinking jugs in Baron & Baroness and dancing like crazy in Switch. Nicole fought to beat her illness but it never brought her down and she had so many loves, but her main one is a one we shared passionately...music.
Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah, will always be her song as she introduced it to me around 5 years ago now, but they've only just broke into the UK market, so it's weird to hear it played on the radio because it was her song that she found. The lyrics mean a lot personally to me and it's that song you need to hear when you've had a bad day or you just miss her. R.I.P Nicoley, we miss you!
Music is a huge part of my life and I don't go a day without hearing any of my favourite songs and scribbling down on pages those that seem to stick with me.
"Stay close to your friends and family for they have helped make you the person that you are today."
